It appears that my new toll free number was having problems and I haven’t been getting all my calls and voicemails. To those who called, I am so very, very sorry. I have gotten everything straightened out and have been assured that the problems have been addressed and won’t be occurring in the future. I will be returning phone calls tomorrow and begging on my knees for forgiveness.

In the Provencal Nursery

What would look good in a nursery like this:

These spaces both have a French Provencal feel to them. A classic portrait of a baby in a smocked dress with her eyes glancing down at her play or sleep area has almost an angelic feel to it. This portrait would look stunning in either an image wrapped canvas or for a more classic feel, a white-washed ornate frame. What do you think? Would you lean towards the color or the black and white for the above spaces? Framed or unframed?

What Would Look Good in my Bathroom?

On many occasions, I’ve been asked to help pick some pieces for a bathroom. What are some appropriate choices for this private space? There are many factors to take into consideration, the biggest being the style of the bathroom and the family’s personality. I do think canvases are a better choice in this space that tends to be humid. Also, I like to see more conceptual captures. Here is an example of a canvas triptych of a families dirty feet lined up. I found this to be perfect for over a bathtub.

A great way to highlight a teenaged child in your home is through the use of an oversized coffee table book or album using a hip material like metal or leather. Imagine this photo on the cover and the rest of album wrapped in a rugged looking tan outback leather. Nice.

Black and White Gelatin Fiber Prints

Here is an example of portrait that would look gorgeous printed by hand in the darkroom on gelatin fiber paper. It would look lovely hanging in a modern loft or in a room with plenty of light streaming in.

Dining Room Wall Decor

This Kennesaw family had this lovely formal dining space where they wished to display some custom photographic wall art. What would be your choice?

This black and white arrangement told the story of their family at that point in time including the fact that their son had just started crawling. It would be a wonderful addition to a space traditionally used for family gatherings.

This piece is a gallery wrapped canvas with a lot of WoW. The colors are bold and the emotion is jovial. It is a nice juxtapose to the more traditional nature of the space and would certainly bring life to the party.
